Design
With over 50 years experience, our goal is to listen to our clients and create an overall landscape design that meets your wants, needs and budget. We strive to educate our clients on the reasonings behind our designs, the various plant material chosen, the process of installation and estimated time of completion. During this time, we continue to listen to concerns, ideas and give additional suggestions along the way. Once the design is finalized, we are ready to schedule installation.
Installation
Our installation process is advanced and efficient. Our equipment is newer and well-maintained, and our team is experienced, professional and friendly.
Through constant communication, our clients feel well-informed and a part of the whole process. We also have the flexiblity to make changes along the way. Our goal is for the process to be an enjoyable experience with 100% satisfaction.
Retaining Walls
Defining outside spaces by adding retaining walls and steps in unique, natural, yet functional designs is one of our specialties. These two hardscape elements not only serve a purpose, but add beauty and distinction while creating durability, continuity and flow to your landscape. Residential and commercial properties may require retaining walls for a varety of reasons such as variation in slope or drainage issues within the landscape. However, besides functionality, we believe a retaining wall should also enhance the landscape. It is one of our passions to use walls to help turn "ordinary" landscapes into amazing works of art.
Steps
Steps are another element that can be added as needed or simply to invite you to enjoy another part of your landscape. From our experience, we have found that dimensional steps in materials such as granite and limestone function is an element that will enhance your landscape and will last forever. We believe that a perfectly positioned set of steps can change the way one views their outdoor areas. Looking out from a distance in your yard, at a set of beautifully crafted steps, built naturally in a retaining wall along with a unique paver pathway is an invitation to enter and explore.

Water Features
Perhaps one of the biggest trends in landscaping today is adding a water feature to your outdoor areas. The natural and beautiful element of water adds the feeling of relaxation and sound of tranquility. The "pond-free" option today is the most popular. The water spills from a stone feature or flows from a waterfall and stream and ends in a gravel bed with a ground water vault below. Not only are the pondless features stunning in a garden, but they are easy to maintain as well.
Because of our expertise in working with stone, we are able to drill all of our own water features. This gives our clients a great deal of flexibility on deciding what kind of stone and what type of look appeals to them. Basalt columns, weathered limestone boulders, or quartzite from Canada are a few of the types of rocks that we have used in our custom water features. Adding this element to your garden is also a wonderful way to attract wildlife to your landscape...birds love them!
Fire Pits
A well-designed fire pit or fireplace can provide a beautiful focal point as well as add to the overall enjoyment of your landscape. Stone fire pits serve not only as a decorative centerpiece for your patio but are also a nice cozy, comfortable and warm place for family and friends to gather outside. While there are many different shapes and designs of outdoor firepits, a natural stone firepit is always a nice option to choose for its source of long-lasting heat and durability.
Where you install your fire pit also determines the ambiance you want to create for your outdoor space. Clients may want a more rustic feel that is set away from the house for a feeling of gathering in a remote destination. Others would prefer to gather and enjoy the fire to be closer to their house and integrated in their main patio. As a full-service landscape company, we design and install irrigation systems for both residential and commercial properties as part of a new construction landscape project or landscape renovation. We believe that providing irrigation to our clients when working on their project simplifies the whole process for everyone involved including the homeowners and building contractors.
Natural Stone Products
One of ours services that sets us apart from other landscape companies is our ability to work with stone in making unique stone products for the landscape. Natural stone benches, birdbaths, fairy houses, custom memorials are some of the many stone items that we make and sell at our Display Garden in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota and at the Minnesota State Fair.
